My favorite time of year in Erie, PA is right around the corner! It's so close, I can smell the pumpkin spice! Fall is almost here! Being a lover of everything Fall, I wanted to put together a list of local pumpkin patches/festivals/activities for Erie and Northwest PA! Now some of these are huge operations, and some are pick your own patches and farm stands. Check out their websites and take a quick trip, or make a whole day of it!
Pumpkintown
Price: $14 Regular Admission / $10 Seniors / $7 Active Military & Veterans / FREE Ages 2 & Under
Every Saturday/Sunday starting September 16, 2023 and ending October 29, 2023 – 10am – 6pm
Pumpkintown is located in Jamestown, NY. From the west side of Erie it takes about an hour. They have everything from pumpkin bowling to hay rides to a petting zoo included in their general admission. They also have extra activities like face painting, pony rides, and gem mining for additional fees. They also have a food shack available if you're looking to make a day of it!
Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm
August 11-September 30 Sunday-Thursday 11am-6pm, Fridays and Saturdays until 9pm
October 1-November 5 Open Daily until 9pm
Wooden Nickel Buffalo Farm has a petting zoo, gift shop where you can purchase locally raised bison meat, a corn maze, and best of all - live bison viewing! It's also important to note that their pumpkin patch is not available this year. They had a bad year, so all of the pumpkins that they grew have been harvested and are available for purchase in the gift shop. The petting zoo is only $1.00, though, and comes with an ice cream cone of food to give the donkeys!
Wiser Farms
8997 W Ridge Rd, Girard, PA 16417
Open daily 9am-6pm
This local farm stand has a ton of locally grown produce and everything you'll need for outdoor Fall decorating! They're located on West Ridge Road in Girard. They have a corn maze and props for photos too. Admission is free.
Vanco Family Farms
Straw bales available for $6, corn stalks for $5
Open daily 10am-6pm
Located at 12210 Silverthorn Rd, Edinboro, PA
This family farm offers tons of pumpkins with great prices, as well as homemade pies and treats!
And this weekend (September 29-October 1st) they're hosting an Oktoberfest celebration! They'll have artists, crafts, a petting zoo, vendors, food trucks, and more! I definitely plan on stopping by with my kiddos!
Sisson's
This one is my family's personal favorite! We started going to Sisson's when we moved to Erie, and have gone pretty much every year! If you come with your kiddos, plan to stay at least a couple hours!

If you're looking for hay rides, a corn maze, slides, pedal karts, and other activities, this is the place! There are a ton of activities included in the general admission. There's a concession stand for hungry kiddos and extra activities for an additional fee.
PumpkinTown at Mason Farms
September 15-October 31
Free admission Individual ride tickets for $1.75 each or ride-a-rama for $16.00
Enjoy a petting zoo, a cornstalk maze, bouncy houses and slides, and a concession stand. The ride-a-rama pass lets your child bounce and slide as much as they want all day! If you plan on coming multiple times through the season, you may want to purchase a season pass for your child. They are $40.00 each and you can come as many times as you'd like! There is also Pumpkintown Jr. available from 9 AM to 1 PM Monday through Friday (except for holidays and non-school days) for a discounted rate of $10.00 for a ride-a-rama (the haunted house is not open during Pumpkintown Jr.). This would be a great option for those younger kiddos, not in school yet!
Port Farms
September 16th – October 29th
Wed, Thu & Sun: 10AM – 7PM Fri & Sat: 10AM – 9PM
There is no shortage of fun things going on here during the months of September and October! There's a huge, bigfoot themed corn maze, a barnyard fort, apple cannon, and lots, lots more! This weekend, they're also hosting an Oktoberfest that's sure to be amazing! Be sure to allow for lots of time here!
Waldameer Pumpkin Walk
Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th 5:30-9:30
A cash donation of $4 is suggested for attendees over three years of age. (Funds collected at this event stay in the Erie County community to provide the public free or low-cost horticultural education.)
Bring your flashlight and dress for an outdoor walk through beautiful Waldameer Park. Enjoy the spectacle of over 1,000 illuminated pumpkins carved by many Erie County community groups and sing along to the student-designed, Halloween-themed Erie High School light show!
Bonny Bell Farms & Hindman Cattle Company in Linesville

This family farm has tons of pumpkins, squashes, and gourds, all for great prices!
Peek'n Peak
October 14-15 and 21-22
Celebrate Fall at the 35th Annual Fall Fest at Peek’n Peak Resort! Two weekends full of fall fun in the foothills of Western New York. Brilliant foliage sets the scene for a juried craft show with more than 100 vendors and a farmers’ market beside activities like the pumpkin cannon, children’s games, live entertainment, pony rides, ski lift rides, classic car cruise-in and an annual snow sports equipment swap!
During the Fall Fest, they'll also be hosting a snowsports equipment sale! Browse new equipment selections from local shops and find your perfect gear with the help of knowledgeable sales staff.
